TruckerLink Code of Practice

Our standards for a trusted and professional transport marketplace

Daittons TruckerLink connects clients directly with individual truckers and drivers. Our Code of Practice sets out the standards we expect from everyone using the platform.

1. Be Honest and Accurate

Truckers must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining their profiles, including:

  • Personal information
  • Trucker type
  • Truck information
  • Load capacity
  • Services offered
  • Service areas
  • Availability
  • Verification information

Do not provide false, misleading or outdated information.

2. Provide Reliable Service

Truckers should:

  • Arrive at the agreed pickup location on time.
  • Complete agreed transport services as promised.
  • Communicate promptly if circumstances change.
  • Treat clients and their goods with care.

3. Communicate Professionally

All users are expected to communicate respectfully and professionally.

Harassment, threats, abusive language, discrimination, intimidation or inappropriate behaviour are not acceptable.

4. Agree on Transport Details Clearly

Before accepting a transport request, the client and trucker should agree on important details, including:

  • What is being transported
  • Pickup and delivery locations
  • Date and time
  • Truck requirements
  • Price
  • Payment arrangements
  • Any special requirements

Both parties should make sure they understand the agreement before proceeding.

5. Protect Goods and Property

Truckers are expected to take reasonable care of goods and property entrusted to them.

Clients should provide accurate information about the goods, their quantity, weight and any special handling requirements.

6. Use the Platform Responsibly

Users must not use TruckerLink for:

  • Illegal activities
  • Fraud or scams
  • Misrepresentation
  • Unauthorised or prohibited goods
  • Harassment or abuse
  • Circumventing verification requirements
  • Creating fake or duplicate profiles

7. Respect Direct Connections

TruckerLink allows clients and truckers to communicate directly. Users should act in good faith and honour arrangements they make with one another.

TruckerLink does not set the transport price between clients and truckers unless a specific service or feature states otherwise.

8. Ratings and Reviews

Ratings and reviews should reflect genuine experiences.

Users must not:

  • Submit fake reviews
  • Manipulate ratings
  • Threaten another user over a review
  • Post misleading or malicious reviews

9. Verification

Where verification is required, truckers must provide genuine and valid information and documentation.

A verification badge indicates that the applicable verification process has been completed. It does not guarantee the quality, availability, conduct or performance of a trucker.

10. Safety and Legal Compliance

Truckers are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, licensing requirements, vehicle requirements, road regulations and transport regulations relevant to the services they provide.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that the goods they request to be transported are lawful and properly disclosed.
